Electronic voting machine with high security measures and data safeguard has made the voting procedure simpler. It is a revolutionary method preferred to traditional EVM voting, as it is risk defective. It is advantageous because it includes features such as avoidance of invalid votes (booth capturing), reduction of counting time and the expenditure incurred on manpower deployment and caring of photo ID cards for voters for recognition.



In our project we are using 8051 MICRO-CONTROLLER to build a secure and wireless EVM easily and simple to operate. A polling officer controls the voting process. She/he grants permission to the voters to vote their selected candidate if the password is recognized. Each person can vote for one candidate only. In our project we have kept IR pair which allows only one person at a time into polling room which will avoid rush at polling theaters,and the person who entered can place only one vote at a time as the machine will work only once for one person entering into the room. Finally results are being displayed on the LCD, when polling officer enters the password.

In order to avoid any sort of damage done by culprits at the time of voting we are using RF communication in which for every prescribed time the information present in the EVM will be transferred to nearest police station. So that any sort of miscellaneous activities at the polling booth will not cause any effect to voting process as the information is already available with the police station staff.
